In 1991 when Gary and Tammy Sandlin bought into the Xpress Lube® business, they were virtually pioneers in the industry, being just the 9th Texaco Xpress Lube to be opened in the nation. The business incorporated in 1993 due to growth to different area becoming SANTEX, Inc., doing business as Texaco Xpress Lube.

The husband and wife team knew that to be successful, it was essential to establish trust with their customers, so they tried to service each and every car like it was their own. They also made it a priority to offer a clean, safe, and personable atmosphere where both men and women would feel comfortable.

A New Generation

In 2019, Jason and Crystal Berry entered the ownership ranks at the Hartselle Havoline location, and a similar acquisition followed in 2021 with the Cullman Havoline site. The decision to venture into the automotive industry was unanticipated but felt like the right move, guided by their faith in God and the unforeseen opportunities that presented themselves. Working alongside the Sandlins exposed Jason and Crystal to new possibilities. It instilled in them a philosophy of seizing every opportunity, as they firmly believe that each one can lead to something extraordinary.

A significant aspect of their experience at Havoline has been the joy of serving their local communities, coaching their team, and immersing themselves in an industry that they are genuinely passionate about, particularly for Jason who is an avid car enthusiast. Moreover, the fulfillment of working with people and being able to make a difference in their lives aligns perfectly with their values, making their journey at Havoline an enriching one.
